The Morphlings are two tributes from District 6 who won previous, unknown Hunger Games and were reaped to participate in the 75th Hunger Games.
Biography[]
Third Quarter Quell[]
These victors are two residents of District 6 who are quite old and have turned to a narcotic pain killer called Morphling. The Morphling has made their skin sag a bit and turn a vulgar, yellow color. The two of them are quite fascinated in painting due to the effects of the drug, as they spend most of their time training in the camouflage station painting each other and that is what they most likely used to present themselves to The Gamemakers, because that was the only talent they showed during training. This left Peeta very little supplies left over, and a colossal mess. Before the Games, Haymitch approached Mags, Finnick, Johanna, Wiress, Beetee, Blight, Chaff, Seeder, Cecelia, Woof and the Morphlings to make an alliance to keep both Katniss and Peeta alive, as he knew he could trust them and that they could help Katniss and Peeta in the arena.
Death[]
During the Games, the Morphlings came to the Cornucopia shortly after Finnick, Mags, Katniss and Peeta had left to battle with the other tributes for the weapons the Cornucopia provided. During this battle, the male Morphling died, but the female managed to escape with her life.
Later when Peeta, Katniss and Finnick were attacked by orange monkey muttations, Peeta was about to be killed by a monkey until the female Morphling jumped in front of Peeta and received the blow. After Peeta fought off the monkey, he took her body to the beach where he comforts her by telling her the color of his paint. The female Morphling takes some of her blood and draws a flower on his cheek, to which Katniss comments saying that it is lovely. The female Morphling bled to death and Peeta took her corpse to the water and let it drift off until a hovercraft came to take it away.
As victors, they are given the responsibility of mentoring other tributes from District 6. It is presumed that they mentored both tributes from their district during the 74th Hunger Games.Template:SeriesTP
